I’ve left LA and it’s been can’t-stop-won’t-stop since we’ve come to Montreal.
Taking a brunch and free wifi break to finally update!
Our flight was delayed for 3 hours and luckily my favourite restaurant in LA, Kanpai, is just a few miles away from LAX. Usually the manager, Peter, or at least Tony would order all my faves for me. Since I had no clue what they were called I ordered “Omakase” – chef’s choice!

Here are the sashimi masterpieces the chef made for me!

Monk fish liver with caviar.

Jellyfish in vinegar.

Seared toro with truffle sauce. Octopus on the left.

Second platter

Albacore and fig wrap in basil sauce.

Bonito in radish sauce.

Rainbow salmon with papaya.

HEAVEN.
