Why does it have to be so scary
especially when it means growing attached to someone else
heavy the heart that feels responsible for another
for their joy
and their misery
and every emotion in between
how do you know if this is it
what if something better comes along
why do we always assume
something better will come along
what if it doesn’t
what if i’m the best you’ll ever have
it should be so simple, really
just put your hand on your heart
and ask yourself
do you want me now
and will you still love me

They say the best camera is the one you always have with you. Other than my iPhone, I’m blessed with toting around one of NYC-via-Belgium’s brightest Creative Directors and candid Ricoh moment capturer, Maxime Quoilin, with me at most times.
Borrow my +1 on this visual gangster’s backstage pass and enter his striking metropolitan cool aesthetic world of elusive DJs
at unforgettable parties
with old friends
like myself and DJ Slow
and in new cities
like the parts of yours yet to be discovered.
you’ll be hooked, bien sûr.

I recently went home to Hong Kong for the first time in 3 years for… a day.
24 hours with my awesome parents, our family helmed by my stylin’ mum.
Picking me up from the airport. Mum hates candids. She’s trying to look elegant and animated while pointing her ‘don’t you dare’ finger at me.
We ate at Pizza Hut because whenever anyone goes home, we revert back to childhood. Too bad I didn’t get any crayons or pogs to play with.
I know you’re all going to say that I look a lot like my mum. In Chinese, the term is “behng yun”, which literally means biscuit print, well, cookie cutter. Making babies with the same mold as the parent! I am a cookie. I want cookies. Caveacookiepreeznowpreez?
Mum’s the boss. She prefers the whole family to be colour co-ordinated, it’s very pre-Victoria-Beckham.
Here we are at a yum cha restaurant. I won’t be there to celebrate Mothers’ Day with her this year but if I could I’d probably bring her to Leanne’s restaurant, The Cardinal,
HAPPY MOTHERS’ DAY TO ALL THE LOVELY MOMMIES OUT THERE!

Here we are, waiting for the rapture. What started as a sunny Saturday in Manhattan, started getting all kinds of scary. Luckily, we heathens managed to avoid all the rain and wrathiness with our perfect timing.
Tony Leung swagger
Teeny-tiny salt and pepper shakers
Waiting for our brunch to be served at Paprika in East Village.
Eggs Benny for me, of course.
Rocky got the only frothy mimosa. Foammmmmmmm.
Emma and Joy.
Parallel to the dance parade on St. Mark’s. Hella Bolivian dancers.
Look it’s me as a hat.
Figured if we were gonna die, might as well die happy.
AT SHAKE SHACK! Shack stack burger. Love love love me the portabello and cheese deep fried oh yes oh yum die die die.
We survived. Rocky & Bullwinkle <3 <3.
SAVED! Sunshine in Central Park. How’s that for judgement day?
