We should have stopped
When you leaned over to kiss me
I should have realised
I should have driven us off the PCH
and on to the edge
to the beach
and kissed you for real
I wanted to hold on to you
and let them Santa Ana winds
wake us
It would have been
so beautiful
But I kept my eyes on the road
and let you play
her song
in my car

, posted on June 25, 2014 at 9:18 am, filed underI met Ibe Soliman last NYFW at the Public School NYC after party where he was playing shit hot remixes of a few my friends’ releases. Based in downtown NYC, he’s produced for international heavy weights such as Faith Evans, Rick Ross, Keyshia Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Flatbush Zombies.
This season, in celebration of Public School NYC’s CFDA Menswear Designer of the year win, Ibe has released a Jersey Club / bass heavy remix pack, PSNYFTW. Crowd favourite ‘Freek’N You’ has seen some heavy rotations in clubs on both coasts and featured on Do Androids Dance by Jake Lang.
In conjunction, Dao Yi himself has personally interviewed Ibe and featured his profile on Public School New York’s WNL magazine of creative leaders. Read the article here and bang the tracks – available for free download – below.
He’s in town in LA this week, hit me up if you wanna party.
