Feeling as dreary as the weather. As much as it doth rain, my nose runneth.
But always dress better than you feel!
Time to insert some bright, fun, energy via neon NINJA TURTLE SWEATER and matching NEON NAILS!

Fave new lacquer colour, American Apparel’s neon red.

Red for Raphael. My favourite ninja turtle. Even though I could only find a sweater with Donatello on it.
Nay, the sweater found me!

Ben Sherman launched their charity endeavour, Very Important Plectrums, at the Gramercy theatre last night.
Very much liked the hashtag.

Plectrums by various artists will be auctioned off starting on May 29th to raise money in support of Lifebeat, a music industry lead HIV/AIDS protection awareness group.

Vodka cocktails complimentary of Svedka

They had a showcase of some of the original guitar picks on set. Coldplay, The Kooks, Oh Land etc.

Concerts to be held in New York, London, and Berlin.

Lou, Liz, and Yvonne.

100% of proceeds from the plectrum auctions to go to charity.

Graffiti6, DJ Josh Madden, and Talib Kweli performed.

Antwan and I. Look who snuck in the back!

Diesel showcased their feminine, make-up inspired Summer collection at their Lexington & 60th store.

Fresh colours, bleached splatters, and ‘The Jean that Kate Middleton Wore’.
Every girl knows you’ve got to try on at least a dozen pairs (if not more) before you find the right one. Pretty PR girls, fashion editors, and bloggers had loads of fun testing out fits and washes.

Susie G trendstarting the dropped-crotch pinstripe jeans for the evening.

Patrick, Diesel’s denim buyer, was on hand to help us with our picks.

Make Up Forever gave mini-makeovers to complement the denim line’s cosmetics influences.

I fell for their intense orange lippy.

Cory Kennedy brought along friends and caught up with Nylon editor, Dani Stahl.

The pair I picked, ‘Hushy’. Light, light wash with pastel water-coloured streaks. Reminds me of a rainbow sno-cone.

Approval from Dani, the event’s star stylist, rocking her distressed aqua Diesels.

Susie G, Marissa, and I at the afterparty for NYFFF.

Marissa looking pretty in pink paillettes.

In love with these metallic opaque tights. They’re less shimmer, more slick sheen off camera.

Susie G’s skin is like porcelain. Oh my.

Sextuple fisting?

These ladies make my nights.

I remember watching a Carmen Electra strip-tease exercise video where she emphasises the importance of a finger in the mouth. POINT TAKEN.

Our little wolfpack went to go watch the shorts at New York Fashion Film Festival.

A few were good. Like this one. For the lolz.
Act da Fool – Proenza Schouler
Others mostly just beautifully shot. Which I think is enough.

Spring/Summer 2011 campaign video – Yves Saint Laurent
Loved the ribcage YSL charm dangling at the end.

Stopped by Milk Studios right after to assist at a shoot.

Having a beer at the bar and watching Justin Bieber on the iPad because that’s what cool kids do.
P.S.

Miss Wax and Vanessa Diaz bka Lady Ness of rawthentix.com collaborated and celebrated their two piece jewellery line last week at a smashing party in Tribeca.

Held at the Rare by Ruth Roche salon, I got to catch up with Ness amidst her designer-hostess-PR-machine-bartender duties.

The accessory – a studded leather shoulder piece with multi-width, cross-body chains add a pop of punk royale to any basic outfit.
I, of course, was enamoured with the mini cupcake spread by Glittle Cupcakes.

Paul [Lavish-Livez.com] and his bespectacled girlfriend were also in attendance.

I met the vivacious and lovely Ashley at a brunch a while ago and she wore the same block-lettered DOPE necklace. Love! She happens to be a stylist at Rare salon, someone remind me to give her a call, I need about a foot lopped off of my hair!

Miss Yvonne Kai flitted about leaving a suitor waiting in the wings like wallflower.

I ate more cupcakes. Red velvet, my fave.

Ms. Yvonne Kai had invited me along to the PRO-Keds Spring/Summer 2011 collection preview at Spur Tree Lounge in the Lower East Side. Now if you want to attend an event where men greatly outnumber the women, go to a sneaker showcase. Not complaining.

Event hosted by Carrie Koscal, PR from The Foundation.

Complimentary Jamaican fare: Red Stripe beer, jerk chicken wings and mini beef patties.

Yvonne spotted a fly subway rider who ended up at the same event.

Turns out he’s a men’s fashion blogger, Justin Bridges [tuckedllc.com] and his buddy, Paul Chin [lavish-livez.com]. I’m a fan of Paul’s DIY felt bowtie.

Suede was a hit.

Vanessa Diaz [rawthentix.com] and Yvonne with their picks.

This grey leather one was my fave.

Mine, Nessa and Yvonne’s rings.
